Janet & Drew's Coogee Wedding

Janet is one of the most vivacious and fun girls I've ever met! Her enthusiasm for...everything makes it interesting to be in a small car with her early in the morning before you've even had a coffee.... I'm joking...(mmmm..not really...).

I was so thrilled when she and Drew asked me to be the photographer for their wedding. Janet made the booking a year in advance and was THE most meticulous, organized and focused bride. A total perfectionist, she wanted everything to be absolutely perfect.

As the day grew closer, her excitement was fever pitched and it was fun to be swept up in it. I felt so inspired and knew it would be the kind of affair that really keeps me on my toes and shooting thousands of images.

The big day came and it rained steadily! The plan had been to walk to Wileys Baths (the site of the ceremony) from couples Coogee home. Janet was determined to stick to her plan 100% so Janet, her dad and brides maids marched off bravely, all umbrellas, lifted skirts and smiles.

During the ceremony, the rain poured down, making Janet look like a beautiful mermaid, wetting her hair, running down her shoulders. It didn't seem to make a scrap of difference to the bride and groom as their perfect day still remained perfect in all the ways that really mattered.

The pictures illustrate so perfectly, the Coogee couple making lemonade out of lemons!

Here are some of the highlights of that day.
